Christmas
home-made muesli (granola)
Oat flakes (as much as you think you would
need, I measure it in the glass I knew I want to fill)
Cinnamon
Cardamom
2 tablespoons Honey
Light syrup
Grated coconut
Chocolate chips
Dried
cranberries
Butter for
frying
1. Heat the bigger saucepan and let the butter to
dissolve. The pan must be really hot at this point.
2. Put the oats on the pan and stir. At
this point you have to be careful not to burn the oats, it's better the low the
heat after a while but first the oats must be cooked a little bit.
Add butter if needed.
3. Season generously with cinnamon and
cardamom, stir and add about 2 tablespoon of honey and sprinkle with light
syrup just to make it little bit more sweet.
4. You can leave the muesli at the low heat
to cook for a while and meanwhile fry the coconut until it is brown. It happens
very quickly, don't burn it!
5. When you feel like the oats starts to
smell really good and looks brown and crispy, take it from the heat and let it
cool on separate plate. It is important to not to leave them on the hot pan they
tend to cook still and can be burnt.
6. Once cool, add the cranberries, coconut
and chocolate chips.
7. You can eat them just like that or with
milk, yogurt as you wish.
8. If you want them even more chocolate,
add cocoa in the very end and stir properly until the oats got wrapped in the
cocoa and are almost dark.
Feel free to add whatever you like. Nuts,
raisins, whatever….

Hunger sandwich with egg and mushrooms
(for 1 person only)
Bread (whichever
you like or have at home)
Butter
One egg
3 – 4 Mushrooms
(I used my favorite champignons)
Half of sweet
pepper (I used yellow one)
Little bit
of chili (as much as you like it)
Salt,
pepper
Fresh basil
(optional)
---------------------------
---------------------------
Preheat the
pan.
Chop the
champignons and sweet pepper and chili into small pieces.
Add some
butter onto the pan and let it melt until it´s properly hot then put all the
vegetables onto it and fry for a few minutes until the champignons change the color
into slightly brown and the sweet pepper is glossy. Season it with salt and pepper.
As I said
it before in one of my recipes, don´t fry the chili if you like it spicier! It lost
it´s hotness once fried or cooked.
When the vegetables
are ready, take it from the pan and put it aside and keep it warm. (In the pot
or under a plate)
On the
rests of butter (you can add some olive oil if you need) fry the egg properly.
Take your favorite
bread and put the egg over it then sprinkle with the vegetables, add fresh
basil.
Enjoy!
